The Pledge of the Order

I,            (Inductee’s Name)              , pledge that henceforth to the best of my ability and for so long as I am able shall endeavor to:

Engage in continuous learning so as to not only maintain but also increase my knowledge of the disciplines and strategies involved in the optimal operation of high performing buildings and other facilities;

Model proactive professionalism to my colleagues, peers and, especially, emerging professionals;

Share my expertise through contributing to or publishing articles, essays or other written works or engaging in public speaking;

Serving as a mentor to emerging professionals either beginning their careers as young engineers in the facilities management or plant engineering spheres or students preparing to enter the profession; and

Lend my time and talents to the advancement of the mission of the Association for Facilities Engineering.
