Come join us for a brief overview on electrical power, power factor and how it affects your utility bill and plant operations. In addition, we will review info that is important for you to avoid being scammed by some purveyors of power factor correction technology for residential and commercial applications.
PRESENTER: Art Karros - PE, CPE–is an electrical engineer and presently serves as a subject matter expert supporting construction contract management for Lockheed Martin Space. He previously worked for Lockheed as a facilities engineer and a construction project manager. He has managed projects from small office renovations, to manufacturing spaces and electrical substations. He is a member of AFE, a CPE, and an instructor for the CPE exam review. Art received his MBA from West Chester University and is presently working on obtaining a master’s degree in Supply Chain Management from Penn State University. He and his wife reside in Morgantown, PA and have four children (15 to 21 years old).

This will be a virtual (online) meeting utilizing the ZOOM platform. A fee of $15 will be assessed to non-AFE members.
CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS
Each attendee will receive .5 AECS for participating in this session. At the conclusion of the meeting, attendees can request a certificate documenting the award of their AECs by emailing such a request to meetings@afe.org.
